Freezer Meals

Our next class will be held on Friday, September 11 at 10:00 am.  K’Lea will share some ideas for make-ahead freezer meals.  This should be a great class and we hope you can make it.

I have also been experimenting with uploading documents onto the blog.  You should be able to access that all handouts using either link on the left side – Slide share or List of Handouts.

GOOD LUCK with Canning Season – there are many fruits and vegetables in season right now.  I would love to hear about your experience.

Three Tips for Dr. Mom

A Few Tips for Dr. Mom

There are a few basic principles that mothers can rely on to be successful with Home Health Care. These three ideas can prevent many trips to the Doctor.

1. Practice Prevention. Learn about healthy diets, proper hygiene, and safety tips that can be used in your own home. Many illnesses today can be prevented by following a healthy diet. Study the Word of Wisdom and discover how the Plant Kingdom has been ordained for our constitution (health and immunity). We invite you join our quest for good recipes and meal plans that are healthy and taste great!

2. Respond quickly to the first symptom. Many common illnesses can be "nipped in the bud" by responding early. There are some great herbal products that can be used to boost immunity. Remember that symptoms show us how the body is reacting to the illness. Rather than cover up the symptoms with a drug - try to work with the body and support its efforts to overcome the illness.

3. Use Wisdom in Seeking Professional Advice. See medical help for all medical emergencies! If symptoms persist for more than 5 days, seek the advise of a health professional. (If you cannot break a fever in 3 days, see your doctor.) We have some wonderful resources available to us in the traditional medical field as well as the natural health field. Seek out the best health professionals in your area. Learn all you can. Pray for guidance.
